Happy Valens' Tines Day
I created Valentines Day mix CD as a gift for friends. The theme of the design was based on a simple and rather nonsensical pun, merging the last name of rocker Richie Valens with the word "tines," in order to recall the name of the February holiday.
United States Canoe Association
The USCA commissioned me to design a membership brochure that would accurately convey the excitement of a canoe race to prospective members. Action photography and multiple diagonals brought the tension and anticipation to life. Bright contrasting colors of the USCA's patriotic red and blue helped further the theme of an active lifestyle.
dirty letters The Student Council
This poster was created for a literary event in Allston, MA. The design evokes a trashy pulp feel, nodding to the event's theme - erotic letters written by James Joyce - while remaining informed by classic poster and book design.
Provider's Council
The Two Penny Project was founded to help human services groups improve public communication. A two-penny theme informed this design, which incorporated orange-copper tones with black accents, and is also a good example of informational print design.
boston appliance Boston Appliance
When a South Boston appliance retailer broke away from its parent company, this rebranding shifted focus from the product itself to the city of Boston. Calling to mind an updated, modern sensibility, the new logo features the Leonard Zakim bridge superimposed with a harbor-view of Boston's skyline.
Studio Pilates
This logo and branding package created for a health and fitness center in Winchester, MA targets the client's female user group. A soft, curvaceous script font and warm colors were applied to a circular "badge" theme.
workoutworld Work Out World
Direct mail for the family-oriented gym chain Work Out World incorporates an exhaustive list of locations and services into a limited surface area, as well as further develops the family-friendly branding. A photograph that portrayed woman's fitness was used in conjunction with soft sans-serif typefaces that reinforced the company's theme.
New England Cable News
This single sheet program guide greeted guests at NECN TV Diner's Platinum Plate Gala, a charity function showcasing the Boston culinary scene's finest. Classical typeset evoked the upscale nature of the event.
point therapuetics Point Therapuetics
An example of an informational poster which serves the review board needs of a scientific organization. Clients of this nature must balance vast amounts and multiple types of information into a single presentation panel in a coherent and convincing manner.
Waiting for Godot
This book cover was designed to recall the spirit of despair present in Beckett's play. Old, worn boots represent age, time, and comfort.
eames poster Charles and Ray Eames
For the occasion of an exhibit celebrating the oeuvre of Charles and Ray Eames, this one-color poster integrates the same elements of play and simplicity that informed their work.
Pregnancy Exposure InfoLine
This brochure was commissioned to help explain InfoLine services. This project updated design elements while preserving older branding standards.
newman school
The Newman School
This prestigious Back Bay college preparatory school received an updated look and feel alongside emphasized branding of their crest and school color.
